To reach more customers and further its growth, BPI Europe Plc decided to reassess its original business model in 2016 and embark on a wholesale strategy to complement its retail operations. This allowed the bank to reach a wider target market, tapping corporate accounts and eligible counterparties, and engage in proprietary trading of fixed income securities and foreign exchange, and participate in the syndicated loan markets.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, the bank will cease offering its remittance services to its customers. This will allow BPI Europe to further its growth ambitions in the wholesale business, and maximise its presence in the European region.
