Qualifications

a. The Promo is open to cardholders of participating BPI VISA Credit Cards whose accounts are active and in good standing.

b. The promo period is from March 16, 2024 to April 15, 2024.

Terms and Conditions

1. To qualify for the promo and earn raffle entries, the cardholder must meet the following requirements:

a. The Cardholder will earn one (1) raffle entry for every Php 5,000 accumulated spend within the Promo Period. Transactions made by the Principal Cardholder, including all linked  Credit Cards of the Principal Cardholder and his/her Supplementary Cardholders shall be considered as the Principal Cardholder’s spend under this promo. Only qualified transactions made by the Principal Cardholder using his/her BPI Visa Credit Cards including its supplementary card will be qualified for the promo and to earn raffle entries.

b. Only transactions made within the promo period will be qualified for the promo. 

c. The following transactions are qualified but not limited to:

• Local Retail Transactions (Straight) 
• Foreign Currency Purchases (Straight) 
• Online or Internet Transactions 
• Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions at Merchant 
• Auto Charge  
• Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) 

d. The following transactions and their corresponding Merchant Category Codes* are excluded from the promo and are not qualified to earn raffle entries:

2. The Major and Minor prizes of the BPI Olympic Games Paris 2024 Experience Raffle Promo will be awarded to the Principal Cardholder.

3. The Principal Cardholder must have updated contact details in BPI’s records.

Prizes

1. There will be one (1) winner of the Major Prize and fifty (50) winners of the Minor Prize as follows:

Major: One (1) winner of the BPI Olympic Games Paris 2024 Experience for two (2) inclusive of the following:

a. Round-trip business class airfare via Qatar Airways from Manila to Paris

b. 5 days, 4 nights twin-sharing accommodations at The Hoxton, Paris

c. A pair of event tickets to the closing ceremony of Paris 2024

d. Preloaded Visa card with pocket money

Minor: Fifty (50) winners of Paris-themed staycation packages at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila inclusive of the following:

a. Hotel room for 2 pax

b. Breakfast for 2 pax in the hotel restaurant

c. Access to all hotel amenities 

2. All prizes are tax-free and transferable but are not convertible to cash and not for resale. 

3. The Winner of the Major Prize and his/her chosen companion must have an active passport with at least six (6) months validity from August 1, 2024.

4. The roundtrip business class airfare from Manila to Paris shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:

a. Details of the guests must be provided by June 15, 2024 and cannot be amended thereafter.

b. The dates of the flights shall be determined by BPI and Visa.  

c. Flights shall be delivered by international carriers/airlines as available. 

d. All flights are non-changeable, non-refundable, and non-transferable once ticketed.

e. No rebooking or change of dates shall be accommodated beyond the 5D4N.

f. The winner should travel from July 28, 2024 to August 1, 2024 in time for the Olympic Games.

g. Only the cost of flights is covered. 

h. Other travel expenses and requirements not included in the above-mentioned prize details (including passport and other travel documents, luggage, gadgets, etc.) shall be for the sole account of the raffle winner. 

5. If the winners are based outside of Metro Manila, the winner shall shoulder the cost of transportation and all other travel expenses (hotel accommodations, food, etc.) in going to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.

Program Implementation

1. BPI will electronically generate raffle entries and will be drawn using an electronic raffle program. 

2. A BPI Visa Credit Cardholder can only win once.

3. The raffle draw will be on April 26, 2024 and shall be conducted virtually or at BPI Buendia Center, 372 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City in the presence of representatives from BPI and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

4. The Winners will be notified by BPI via e-mail, Viber and/or SMS within two (2) weeks from the draw date. He/she will be given sixty (60) calendar days to acknowledge the message sent by BPI. Failure to do so will mean forfeiture of the prize.  If, for whatever reason, the winner does not want to avail of the prize, he/she may notify BPI by calling BPI Contact Center to opt-out. BPI reserves the right to award another winner, with the concurrence of DTI-FTEB.

5. The Winners will be announced and posted on BPI’s social media pages, press releases and/or electronic direct mail.

6. To claim the prize, winners must present one (1) valid government ID and his/her valid BPI Visa Credit Card.

7. All tickets, bookings, and merchandise in connection with the Prizes were procured and supplied by Visa Worldwide Pte. Limited (Visa). Any issue/concern pertaining to the tickets and activities/itineraries shall be raised to and addressed/settled by Visa. The winners and his/her companion shall have sole recourse against Visa in case of any issue on the tickets and/or the activities/itineraries, including but not limited to changes/delay/cancellation of flight schedule, refusal of admission in the venue and non-admission in the hotel shall have no recourse whatsoever against BPI, its directors, officers, employees, and representatives.

8. Upon claiming of the prize, the winners agree to free BPI and Visa from any liability for damages suffered as a result of using the raffle prize(s), provided such damages are not the result of serious and deliberate misconduct on the side of BPI or Visa.  BPI and Visa shall not be held liable for any claim related to the raffle rewards.  Consequently, BPI and Visa shall not entertain any request for indemnity of reimbursement accompanying such claim.

General Terms and Conditions

1. The cardholder agrees that should his or her purchase be found fraudulent, BPI shall have the right to charge the value of the offer to his or her card. 

2. By participating in this promo, the winners of the program and their companions hereby agree as follows: 

a. BPI is authorized to provide information of the winners to third-party contractors or agents to implement the promo including the raffle draw and procurement of prizes. 

b. To allow BPI to collect the personal information of the winners and their companion during the travel, including but not limited to their name, mobile number, and e-mail address. In this connection, BPI may, subject to compliance with applicable rules and regulations, use and disclose the personal information of identified winners, including their name, photographs, for marketing purposes related to this promo and the winners and their companions agree to waive any right to royalties, fees or any form of remuneration for such use on BPI website, BPI social media pages, and press releases. 

c. The winners agree and will cause his/her companion to agree to the post-event communication to be done by BPI and in connection thereto, the winners consent and shall cause his/her companion to consent that BPI has the right to take their photographs and videos during activities within the travel and staycation period and to use these photographs and videos in any and all post-program publicity materials /media, whether online and offline, and other marketing materials of BPI. A consent form shall be for this purpose and shall be signed by the winners. In this connection, the winners and their companion deemed to have waived any right to any royalties, fees or any form of remuneration for such use on BPI social media pages, electronic direct mail, and press releases.

3. Employees of Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI), its subsidiaries and affiliates and other third-party agencies directly involved in this promo, and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity, are disqualified from participating in this Program. In case the declared winner is found to be falling in any of the categories described in this section, the winner is automatically disqualified, and a new raffle will be conducted to replace the disqualified winner to be witnessed by a DTI representative. 

4. The Bank, in concurrence with DTI, reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, or cancel the promo at any time. 

5. In case of dispute with respect to the Bank only and the customers' eligibility for the Promo, the decision of the Bank, with the concurrence of DTI, shall be considered final. 

6. The Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of BPI Credit Cards and reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips, and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this promo.
